More on this analysis

How is the most active law firm in an area determined?

By counting, within each practice area, the number of distinct reported judgments in which each law firm appears, and listing the one with the highest count. The figure is a measure of reported-case volume in that area, not of outcomes or seniority.

Methodology

Practice areas are derived from the top-level catchwords published with each Singapore judgment. Within each area, every law firm is counted by the number of distinct reported cases in that area in which they are recorded; the law firm with the most is listed. Only areas with at least 8 reported judgments, and law firms appearing in at least 2 of an area's cases, are included. Counts reflect appearances in reported decisions only — unreported matters, settlements and advisory work are not captured. Figures were last computed on 2026-06-14 and update as the corpus grows.
