Summary
After 37 years of marriage, a husband sought to set aside the interim judgment of divorce — granted on a simplified uncontested basis with agreed terms — alleging he had signed the documents under duress, coercion and undue influence from the wife and her lawyer. The wife cross-applied for an extension of time to transfer the matrimonial flat. The Family Court dismissed the husband's application to set aside the interim judgment, finding his claims of duress were unsubstantiated, and granted the wife's extension of time for the flat transfer.
